Koppers employees Jeremy Millard, Zero Harm Coordinator and Jeffrey Senchak, Director of North American Logistics, recently went to Chicago to accept the 2022 Safe Handling Award from Canadian National! This award is given to 220 companies that do outstanding safety work in the rail equipment industry. 🛤️
Launched in 1992, CN’s Safe Handling Award is presented to customers who load freight cars with dangerous goods and meet strict standards for the safe handling and shipment of regulated products. The winners must meet established criteria, according to the total number of shipments of dangerous goods for all facilities. 🦺
While there, Jeremy and Jeffrey had the opportunity to accept the award on behalf of Koppers, tour CN’s training facility in Homewood, IL, and spent the day talking about safety with one of Koppers key transportation partners and customers.
This award is a wonderful example of Koppers Zero Harm commitment to creating a safe environment for our employees and communities! 📍
